DevVault is a personal code snippet manager. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

• Email address — used to create and identify your account
• Password — stored as a bcrypt hash, never in plain text
• Code snippets — the content you save to your vault
• Timestamps — when snippets were created or updated

We do not collect your name, phone number, payment information, or any other personal data.

3. How we use your data

• To authenticate you and keep your account secure
• To store and retrieve your code snippets
• To send account-related emails (email verification, password reset)

We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.

4. Third party services

5. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required to operate the service. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

6. Data retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your rights

• Request deletion of your account and data
• Withdraw consent at any time

8. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including bcrypt password hashing, JWT authentication, Row Level Security on the database, and HTTPS enforced by Cloudflare.
